| Logan: Its over Jean... its over. [Soldiers come up the hill and try to shoot at Jean with the cure] Logan: No don't shoot! [Jean disinegrates the cure that was shot at her and starts to fly. Then she disinegrates the soldiers] Logan: NOOOO! |

| Logan: [while he and Beast are fighting off Magneto's forces] I thought you were a diplomat. Dr. Hank McCoy: Churchill said that there comes a time when every man must... [pauses to fight off another baddie, then another, then another] Dr. Hank McCoy: Oh, you get the point! |

| Raven Darkholme: [as the President of the United States] Let me out of here! I demand that you release me! Do you know who I am? I'm the President of the United States! Prison Truck Guard: Oh, Mr. President. Shut up. |

| Prof. Charles Xavier: [to Class] When an individual acquires great power, the use or misuse of that power is everything, will it be used for the greater good or will it be used for personal or destructive ends? Now this is a question we must all ask ourselves. why, because we are mutants. |

| Raven Darkholme: [after she's intercepted a cure meant for Magneto] Eric...? Eric Lensherr: I'm sorry, my dear. You're not one of us anymore. |
| Logan: They're ready. Ororo Munroe: Are you ready to do what's necessary when the time comes? |
| Callisto: You're so proud of being a mutant, where's your mark? Eric Lensherr: I have been marked once, my dear, [pulls back his sleeve to reveal the Nazi concentration camp serial number tattooed on his arm] Eric Lensherr: and let me assure you, no needle shall ever touch my skin again. |
| Eric Lensherr: [from trailer] They wish to cure us... and I say we are the cure. |
| Logan: That was my last cigar. |
| Dr. Hank McCoy: [to Wolverine] You saw Magneto? |

| Mutant Theatre Organizer: This cure is voluntary. Nobody's is talking about extermination. Eric Lensherr: No one ever talks about it. They just do it. And you go on with your lives, ignoring the signs all around you. And then one day, when the air is still and the night is fallen, they come for you. Bobby Drake: [clenches fist angrily, starts to freeze up] John Allerdyce: [lights a fireball] Go ahead Iceman - make a move. Bobby Drake: [long pause, then turns and walks away] John Allerdyce: Same old Bobby, still afraid of a fight. [turns around and ignites cure building] |

Description Experience the awesome power of The X-Men's epic, final battle. After a controversial "cure" is discovered, mutants can choose to retain their superhuman abilities or give up their unique gifts and become "normal." When peaceful mutant leader Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) clashes with his militant counterpart, Magneto (Ian McKellen), the battle lines are drawn for the war to end all wars. Bursting with nonstop action, spectacular special effects and exclusive extras, X-MEN THE LAST STAND is a force of nature that "will blow you away!" With director Bryan Singer having moved on to Superman Returns, the franchise passes to the hands of Brett Ratner (Rush Hour), whose best work is done in the big action sequences such as a showdown between mutant armies. But it's difficult to manage the sheer volume of characters when adding longtime comic-book stalwarts such as Beast (Kelsey Grammer) and Angel (Ben Foster), and one character in particular deserved better than an off-screen dismissal. And fans of the original Dark Phoenix comic book story might be underwhelmed by the movie's resolution. X-Men: The Last Stand is presumably the last film in the series, but the ambiguous ending leaves possibilities open. Look for the two writers most responsible for making the X-Men who they were, Stan Lee and Chris Claremont, in early cameos. --David Horiuchi
